When I was in St. Augustine, Florida for the Feng Shui International Institute/Feng Shui of America conference in November 2005, on the last evening I was there, as soon as I left the conference, I went to the beach and visited the Atlantic Ocean and scooped up some sand off of the beach for the blessing.
The water touching the sand is like a fresh anointing of the Atlantic Ocean’s Ch’i (Cosmic Breath of God) energy.* Since we had all been at our highest Pyramid Feng Shui energy level for days, just miles from the ocean, I thought it might be a great tool to manifest with.
As I drove back across Florida and visited the Gulf of Mexico a few days later, I also collected sand from the Sarasota/Manatee Beaches, also for the purpose of possibly manifesting for my future Feng Shui business and personal options.
The Gulf of Mexico of course is my own personal favorite so I decided to use that sand first just to see what might happen. I have lived on the Gulf side in Florida several times before and I love it.
When I got back to Dallas, I put a small amount of Gulf sand in a small snack size Ziploc bag and placed it in the Empowerment (far left) corner of my bedroom. Within two weeks time I was drawn to visit a favorite Greek restaurant for dinner. When I got there, much to my surprise, a client was treating her employees to Christmas dinner at the same restaurant and invited me to join them.
This same client once owned the Home and Landscape magazine that published three months of my Feng Shui articles here in Dallas, before the economy stalled out three years ago, and she discontinued that magazine.
In the course of dinner she stopped suddenly and said, “Alex, do you like the Gulf of Mexico? I have a home on the Gulf of Mexico and I am going to put it up for sale on Feb. 1st but if you would like to go down and stay for a while for free, please come by the office and get the keys. I would be delighted for you to go and have a free holiday on me.”
