God's Gift of Peace

Alex Shaw

Could you use some peace in your life? Inner peace comes from the free, loving and merciful blessings of God, His Son Jesus the Christ, and the Comforter sent to our souls, the Holy Spirit. It is not difficult to acquire. God wants us to live our lives in harmony, peace and joy. It is His intention that we be blest and have all good things. St. John 15:7 tells us "If you abide in me (Jesus), and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you."

"The Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, (Jesus), he shall teach you all things and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you." — St. John 14:26.

"Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid." — St. John 14:27

"For the Father Himself loveth you, because ye have loved me, and have believed that I came out from God. I came forth from the Father, and am come into the world: again, I leave the world, and go to the Father. — St. John 16:27-28

"by this we believe that thou camest from God." — St. John 16:30

"These things I have spoken unto you, that in Me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer: I have overcome the world." — St. John 16:33

"For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life." — St. John 3:16

"For God sent not His Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through Him might be saved." — St. John 3:17

"The Father loveth the Son, and hath given all things into His hand." — St. John 3:35

"He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him. — St. John 3:36

"God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ. — I Thessalonians 5:9

"Wherefore comfort yourselves together, and edify one another, even as also ye do." — I. Thessalonians 5:ll

"And to esteem them very highly in love for their work's sake. And be at peace among yourselves." — I. Thessalonians 5:13

"For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God." — Romans 3:23

"Make a joyful noise unto the Lord, all ye lands. Serve the Lord with gladness: come before His presence with singing. Know ye that the Lord He is God; it is He that hath made us, and not we ourselves; we are His people, and the sheep of His pasture. Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, and into His courts with praise: be thankful unto Him, and bless His Name. For the Lord is good; His mercy is everlasting; and His truth endureth to all generations." — Psalms 100:1-5

"All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned everyone to his own way; and the Lord hath laid on Him the iniquity of us all." — Isaiah 53:6

"Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord; And He shall send Jesus Christ, which before was preached unto you: Whom the heaven must receive until the times of restitution of all things, which God hath spoken by the mouth of all His holy prophets since the world began." — The Acts 3:19-21
